October 25, 2025, AFRMA display at the Creepy Crawly Day at the Idyllwild Nature Center in Idyllwild, CA.


Welcome to the 1st Creepy Crawly Day at the Idyllwild Nature Center in Idyllwild, CA.

The Idyllwild Nature Center and Meeting Room.

All the booths were inside the Nature Center’s meeting hall: L-R: craft tables, AFRMA booth, tarantula booth, Nature Center table with candy, table with skulls and bones, microscopes, story time corner.

The three female rats in the display: 2 adult Cinnamon AOC Standards and an 11-week-old Pearl AOC Standard snuggled underneath one of the Cinnamons, all owned and bred by Karen Robbins, Karen’s Kritters.

Two of the 4 mice in the display: OS01 KK5493-1 a Splashed and her Splashed mom OS01 KK5399-2 in the house, all owned and bred by Karen Robbins, Karen’s Kritters.

Allison Fedrick, the Park Interpreter, brought out the Nature Center’s reptiles at different times of the day to educate folks on that species. This was Jackson, the California King snake.
