RE: Facebook Notes: ID Colors
in the WSSF 2015 issue
Another new note has been added to our Facebook page on the ID of colors: ID Rat Colors: Blue, Sky Blue, Powder Blue, Russian Blue, Silver Blue, Platinum.
(now on the web site, 2-16-19) Blue, Sky Blue, and Powder Blue are the same genetically,
just selected for different shades. The Blue here in the U.S.A. and those in England are the same gene.
Russian Blue colors are Russian Blue and Silver Blue (Russian Blue + Blue). Silver Blue is similar to Sky Blue but brighter in color and has the ticking/heathering found in Russian Blue colors.
Platinum is Blue plus Mink or Chocolate.
Don’t forget to also check out our other notes: ID Colors: Agouti, Cinnamon, Blue Agouti, Russian Blue Agouti, Russian Cinnamon
and ID Rat Colors: Lilac, Mink, Silver Lilac, Silver Mink, Pearl
(now on the web site) as well as the many photos in the photo albums section of our Facebook page (also on the web site).
