AFRMA Show Clerks & Stewards
Details on becoming an AFRMA Official Show Clerk/Steward
Taken from the AFRMA Show Regulations & Standards book.
Official Clerk/Steward Requirements
Adopted by the American Fancy Rat and
Mouse Association
Members must attend three (3) or more training sessions before they are officially recognized. These training
sessions will be held at any time where there are two (2) or more persons interested in learning how to clerk or steward.
A clerk is one who fills out the judging cards as the judge makes his placements and fills out the Show Winners sheets
and/or any other forms that may be required for the show. Also, the clerk helps the judge with the classes being judged
and assists the judge in following the proper judging order.
A steward is one who calls for the classes to come up to the table, and sees that the animals being brought up to the
table are put in the correct order to be judged. The steward must also see to it that there is an uninterrupted flow of
classes for the judge.
